!±8± Why Do Babies Cry During Diaper Changes?

Many parents have experienced having their baby cry during diaper changes. This is a common occurrence amongst babies of various ages during which the baby will scream, throw a tantrum, writhe, twist and generally make both mornings and evenings difficult for the parents. For some toddlers, using the right language to calm the child will work, as well as various distractions, use of timers, changing the child while standing up, turning the diaper changing process into a game, as well as giving him choices. For certain babies, one method may work successfully for a short period of time. However, in most cases, parents will be unable to find any solution to deal with this issue once and for all.

There are however certain proven tricks to use while changing a diaper in order to prevent your baby from crying. For instance, you may engage the child in role playing. In this case, before every diaper change, you may give the toddler's favorite toy a diaper change. Be sure to engage your child in this mock-diaper change by asking them to help wipe the doll as well as entertain it so that it can enjoy itself during the change. Praise the doll a lot for undergoing a hassle free diaper change and you may even go one step further in offering them a reward. Thereafter, turn to your child and invite them to take their turn. You should find that the child is often more receptive and willing to undergo a similar hassle free experience
